Criminal by Karin Slaughter

Criminal by Karin Slaughter

"This top thriller-writer enjoys working with her regular set of characters, with each one getting a turn to be the centre of attention. Her previous book, Fallen, focused on Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) agent Faith Mitchell and her mother, Evelyn, a former policewoman, and now it’s the turn of Faith’s GBI partner, Will Trent (my favourite of these characters), who grew up in a series of children’s homes and won’t talk about what was clearly a tragic past.

Criminal is dark and grisly and speeds along at Slaughter’s usual thriller pace. I can’t wait for the next instalment."
